Macaronis

The macaroni style was an extreme fashion that came into vogue in certain circles in the 1760s up to the French Revolution. It was never a mainstream fashion but did represent the extreme decadence that the privileged could aspire to. Of course, it quickly went out of vogue with the arrival of Revolution.
