Chambeshi Monument

General von Lettow-Vorbeck surrendered his German forces in 1918 upon hearing that World War One had ended in Europe. This memorial lies close to that spot in Northern Rhodesia. He had managed to elude British and Allied forces for the entire four years of the war. Image courtesy of NRZam.
