MV Dumra


SS Dumra was a British Cargo of 2,304 tons built in 1922 by C. Hill & Sons, Bristol and owned by British India Steam Navigation Co Ltd, London - Homeport Glasgow.

On the 5th June 1943 when on route from Tulear, Madagascar to Durban carrying a cargo of lorries, she was torpedoed by U-198 and sunk. 26 lost from complement of 92.
