Method of making the roof of the house: Two bundles of withies about 4 feet long are placed in a cross and tied in the middle. A small boy stands on the centre to hold it in place, and the sticks are splayed round and tied' in place with long strips of bark fibre so as to form a bowl. Then it is inverted and shccped so as to be symmetrical, and a double re-inforcing ring of withies bound on to strengthen the dome.
