The Festival of Britain


The Festival of Britain was to try and reinvigorate the British economy and inject some fun into the period of post-war austerity. It tried to reimagine the Great Exhibition but for the Twentieth Century. In reality, it did little to hide the scars and weaknesses of Britain's economic predicament at the time.
