Norton Legge DSO


Norton Legge was a tough soldier, happiest when on active service. He fought in the Sudan for which he was awarded the DSO, on the Dongola Expedition, at Khartoum, and lastly in the Boer War as the commander of the 6th Mounted Infantry Battalion, when he was killed at Nooitgedacht in December 1900.
