Officers' Stirrup Slide, 1901 - 1914

Officer's joining the 20th Hussars after 1901 would have had all badges and horse furniture items decorated with the regimental badge and King Edward's crown. This shape of crown is referred to as the King's crown as it was used for all the kings from Edward VII to George VI. The stirrup slide adorned the leather straps just above the stirrup.
