Cavalry Officers 1808

This detail from a painting of cavalry officers in 1808 by Robert Dighton Junior was published in Military Drawings and Paintings in the Royal Collection by A E Haswell Miller and N P Dawnay vol 1. Unfortunately it is in monochrome and so far no coloured version is available. The 20th Light Dragoon officer is the one on the far left, almost off the picture. The colour of his uniform is shown in Sumner's copy, and an alternative colour of the jacket is shown in Brennen's copy. The other regiments in this part of the painting are 7th Hussars (back view), 12th LD (background), 16th LD (background), Royal Horse Guards, 10th Hussars, 16th Light Dragoons (background), General Officer of Hussars, 15th Hussars, and two unknowns on the right.
