Mount Rosalie

This painting by Charles David Cobb shows British observers on Mount Rosalie overlooking the British shipping. Mount Rosalie was on the Western Island but it was often the direction that many of the Argentine planes came from and it overlooked the entrance to the channel of the Falklands Sound and San Carlos Bay. It was therefore in a perfect location to issue reports of the strength and height of incoming air attacks.
