13th Hussars

Officers in India 1910

This group with Col. Taylor in the middle wear tropical khaki service dress. The first version of this dress had a closed collar like the men's (see Sgt. Bayes). The shirt is white and the tie black. After 1913 khaki shirts and ties were worn. Badges of rank are on the shoulder straps here, but were worn on the cuff in the home service dress. The Wolseley helmet has a blue and white flash on the left side and a badge on the front. Their boots and Sam Browne belts are of brown leather.
