Royal Artillery

Bandmaster, 1903

The busby, re-introduced for the artillery band in 1895, has the plume sometimes shown as being on the side of the hat and sometimes on the front. The officer, here, has a tall red feather plume in a gilt holder. The red-collared tunic is braided in a style that came in c1880 and was replaced by the more elaborate tunic c1910. The waistbelt is worn over the tunic.
