The patrol jacket was a very smart item made of blue cloth and decorated with black mohair braid. see Patrol Jacket It is trimmed with astrakan fur and is reminiscent of the pelisse. The cords are looped from shoulder to shoulder. It was usually worn with breeches and boots or trousers. The sword and sabretache were not worn with this, normally. His cap is a crimson field service cap with gold braid edging and embroidered badge, worn from 1894.
