Mounted Private, 1796

The charging light dragoon is using his pistol, usually a last resort as it only has one shot. The carbine is shown in a leather 'bucket' not attached to the carbine belt. His black ammunition pouch is visible. The helmet has the old style buff turban instead of the blue turban that should be worn by this time. The 11th rode dark brown horses at this time with docked tails.
