Officers c1688

Little is known of the uniforms of this period but the regiment may have adopted yellow facings after their return from Tangier. Officers did not wear actual uniform like the men but may have asked their tailor to provide a coat that was red with yellow cuffs, and their own style of embroidery. Sashes were over the shoulder at first, then round the waist. They were usually crimson with gold or silver fringes or embroidery. In the background are men of the regiment who would either be pike-men or musketeers.
