RSM and Private, c1911

The facings were green and the brass collar badge was the elephant of the old 94th. The private wears the full dress blue helmet with brass fittings. He has a fleur-de-lys badge on his arm to show that he scouted for the regiment in the South African War. He also wears the two medals for that conflict. The Regimental Sergeant-Major is in drill order, having the forage cap with the green band and piping. He has gold lace on his collar and cuffs and round the edge of his red epaulette. He also has the distinction of a brown leather belt and sword slings. This painting was by John McNeill.
