The Gordons

Private, Service Dress 1992

Only two years before the Gordons were absorbed into the Highlanders (Seaforths and Camerons), this private is dressed in their last uniform. He is in no.2A service dress, the smartest parade uniform before ceremonial dress. The khaki doublet is very much like the tunic worn throughout the army, apart from the rounded front to the skirt.
