The Gordons

Officer's Dirk

The dirk was carried by Officers, Warrant Officers and Pipers. It hangs from the waist-belt, on the right hip. Officer's dirks were more ornate than other ranks'. The handle is made of bogwood and there is a cairngorm set in the silver top. The fork and knife, also topped with small cairngorms, slot into small sheaths on the outside of the main sheath.
