The kilmarnock bonnet is worn at an angle. The badge is on a black silk cockade and underneath a black-cock's tail feather. He wears a gold lace waist-belt over his doublet but his sword is suspended from a white leather shoulder belt. The trews are of Hunting Stewart tartan.
