RCMP Assistant Commissioner, c1938

The full dress of this senior officer prior to World War II still incorporates the gilt spiked white helmet but the shape has changed to the Wolseley type. After the War the helmet was discarded altogether in favour of the blue and yellow forage cap. His collar is decorated with senior officer's circlets of gold braid. The waistbelt is the same as that adopted in 1890 but the pouchbelt is no longer worn. He has gold aiguillettes on his right shoulder in his capacity as ADC to the Governer General. This man is G L Jennings who served in South Africa and World War I.
