Corporal in Battledress, 1943


Regulation Canadian pattern khaki battledress was worn during World War II. This mountie is with No 1 Provost Company in Italy. Above the corporal stripes is the red patch of 1 Canadian Infantry Division and above that are his shoulder titles. There is an MP armband on his right elbow. The Mounties served in England, Scicily, Italy, France, Holland, Belgium and Germany. Eight members were killed during the War and EUROPE 1939-45 was added to the battle honours.
