| This is one of the better illustrations by Major Donovan Jackson for his book India's Army. The bugler's tunic is dark green with a red collar and a slash sleeve piped in red. The chevrons are also backed with red. His bugle cords are red and black. The medal is the India General Service medal which ceased to be issued after 1935. |
