9th Gurkhas

Rifleman in Field Service Order, 1901

The uniform is khaki service dress with the same equipment as marching order except that he has a water-bottle next to his kukri. All belts and pouches are black leather. He wears the kilmarnock cap at an extreme angle. The broad brimmed field service hat was introduced a few months later in July 1902.
