This sows a variety of ranks and orders of dress. On the left are a naik and havildar in marching order. The naik has white stripes and te havildar has gold. Next is a sepoy is field service order. Behind him, in the background is an Indian officer also in field service order. Then there is a British officer in full dress. His facings are more buff than white. The subadar is more simply dressed with no waist belt. They are talking to a seated British offcer in field service order. On the right is a drummer in khaki.
