Four of the British officers are mounted, one of whom is the commanding officer, Lt-Col Welch, at the front with a bugler standing behind and a little to his left. He has a bugle in his right hand and the green tassels of the cord can be seen on his left shoulder. The officers are standing in a single rank at the front of the parade, 14 Indian officers and 3 British, all wearing puttees. Two Indian officers standing behind the CO carry the Colours. On the far side of the companies is the regimental band.
