2nd/16th Punjabis

Colour Party, 1938

26 years after the 31st became the 2nd battalion 16th Punjab Regiment, they still carry the old 31st Regimental colour. The colours are carried by officers who wear gold fringes on their turbans and Sam Browne belts. The havildars have white fringes and red sashes on their right shoulders. Note the different styles of turban.
