52nd Sikhs

Service Dress, 1910

The tunic or Kurta is of a sandy coloured twill material having a low collar and pointed cuff. The breeches button up below the knee and are worn with puttees. We can see from this actual example that the turban or pagri is a made-up hat and based around a red pointed kullah. The fringe hangs on the left and for the 52nd is coloured red.
