78th Moplah Rifles

Sepoy, 1905

Although the 78th were a Rifle regiment, they adopted the uniform colours of the old 25th, ie. red tunic and green facings. The buttons and shoulder titles were brass. The Moplahs were distinctive in that their headgear was the fez, not the turban. The knicherbockers were green serge.
