Henry John Blagrove




Lieutenant in the 13th in 1875. He served in the Egyptian War in 1882 as orderly officer to Sir Baker Russell who commanded the 1st Cavalry Brigade. He was present at Kassasin and Tel-el-Kebir and the capture of Cairo. After numerous overseas postings he served in the Boer War, being present at the relief of Ladysmith and Colenso. He was Station Commandant in Transvaal Nov 1900 to May 1901.
