Sabretache 1832 - 1855

Two more battle honours were granted to the 15th on February 23rd 1832; SAHAGUN and VITTORIA. The last change in the design was in 1828 when EGMONT-OP-ZEE was granted. So these three appear alongside EMSDORF, VILLIERS-EN-COUCHIE, PENINSULA, AND WATERLOO on this sabretache.

The Austrian wave gold lace has been replaced with a less distinctive pattern, perhaps as an economy measure. Photos of officers taken in the 1850s show them wearing this type of sabretache so it must have been worn until 1855 when the style of uniform had a drastic makeover.
