General Lord George Augustus Frederick Paget KCB

Lord George Paget was the 6th son of the Marquis of Angelsey who became Lord Uxbridge after commanding the cavalry and losing his leg at Waterloo. George was also involved in a famous battle, at Balaklava where he commanded the 4th Light Dragoons in the Charge of the Light Brigade. He also led the Light Brigade at the battle of Inkerman, but left the Crimea afterwards. He was much criticised for leaving the war when he returned to Britain. But he went back and commanded the Light Brigade in February 1855.
