7th Hussars

Bandsman c1902

The blue patrol jacket worn by cavalry at this time did not have shoulder chains. For the members of the band and trumpeters of the 7th there were gold shoulder cords instead of blue cloth epaulettes, which are also to be seen in Trumpeters 1900 The collar badges have the King's crown which was worn from 1901 to 1952. The white leather pouch-belt was also put aside in this year for the rank and file of cavalry. But the band and trumpeters continued to wear them. The brass buckle can just be seen at the top of his shoulder.
