Drumhorse 1932


On special occasions, after the First World War, the drumhorse was paraded in full dress as here with Lance-Corporal King, at Aldershot in February 1932. The shabraque is now worn, and the drum banners now have 12 battle honours. On the left of the banner, from the top: DETTINGEN, BEAUMONT, ORTHES, WATERLOO, SOUTH AFRICA 1901-02, SHARQAT. On the right: WARBURG, WILLEMS, PENINSULA, LUCKNOW, KHAN BAGHDADI, MESOPOTAMIA 1917-18.
