7th Hussars

Band 1957

The posting to Hong Kong ended in 1957 and the regiment returned to the UK and they were posted at Tidworth. The band have by this time adopted the trumpeters method of wearing the red and yellow cords with a plait and tassels hanging on the left side. The uniform which used to be patrol jacket and trousers is now no.1 dress with shoulder chains. The forage cap is scarlet with the 7th Hussars badge. The bandmaster, at the front wears a frock coat, the only man in the regiment to do so at this stage. His cap and badge is officer style.
