John Hunt is seen here in a group photo in Mhow, India in October 1893 on the occasion of an inspection by Major-General Luck who is sitting by his left arm. Colonel Hunt is holding the spike of his white tropical helmet. He joined the regiment in August 1862 as a cornet and commanded them in the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel from 19th Dec 1889 to 19th Dec 1893. He served in India in 1865 to 1869 and from 1886 to 1893. He was also in Natal in 1881. |
