Officer's Dress Pouchbelt

The majority of officers wear this 13th Hussar pattern dress pouchbelt with the no1 dress (blues). 'A photo of CO Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Webb-Bowen shows him wearing a 15th Hussar belt which has no pickers and chains but that was probably an antique belt from the pre-1914 days. The 13th Hussar belt would be easier to manufacture as the lace is of a simple train design with a white silk centre and is attached to a crimson leather belt. 'The pickers and chains are of hallmarked silver while the battle honours are on bi-metal scrolls. 'The back of the belt can be seen, partially, in the photo of the Guidon 2007, worn by the RSM. 'He is the only non-commissioned officer to wear the belt. 'The belt supports a silver faced pouch on the officer's back.'
