RSM and Corporal 1939

The Regimental Sergeant-Major is named as F A Dolby in this photo taken from the Linaker and Dines book of NCO arm badges, but in another photo taken in 1937, published in Peter Seaman's book on the same subject, he is named as RSM Walley. The two men in the photo wear different quality khaki service dress and the RSM wears officer-type bronze badges on his collar and cap. The corporal, named as A Crossman, has polished brass badges. They both have silver arm badges on their right arm and badges of rank on both arms.
