Drum Banner 1910

Up until 1902 the Bays had one battle honour for LUCKNOW. They, like other regiments that fought in the Boer War received the honour SOUTH AFRICA 1901-02. In 1909 they were granted the motto PRO REGE ET PATRIA and in 1910 were retrospectively granted the honours for WARBURG and WILLEMS. The last two actions had occurred in 1760 and 1794 so were long overdue. The other difference between this and the previous pair of banners is the crown which is now the King's crown instead of Queen Victoria's.
