The Queen's Bays went on exercise as part of a brigade for the last time in late 1935. This excellent coloured chalk drawing by Gilbert Joseph Holiday was made while the regiment were stationed at Willems Barracks, Aldershot. It shows that they were still using the sword but armed with the infantry rifle that had seen them through many actions in both the Boer War and the First World War. |
