Donkey Patrol



Despite having access to the modern Ferret armoured cars, it was hard to keep cavalrymen away from mounts, whichever form they may take. Actually, there was a serious side behind using this mode of transport. The regiment found that it was easier to sneak up on Cypriot villages as the dogs there would refrain from barking if they saw a donkey rather than an armoured car.
