Officer's Pouchbelt - Final Version

The pattern of lace is peculiar to this regiment and has been used since c1826 until the present day. It is also to be seen, on a smaller scale on the sword slings, cuirass waist strap, waistbelt and bridoon rein. The belt is made of crimson morocco leather and covered with gold lace divided centrally by a crimson silk stripe. The crimson flask cord follows the silk centre stripe and is held in place with three loops. The buckle, tip and slide are very ornate gilt.
