No.1 Dress 1971

This schematic illustration shows the change in the no.1 dress uniform on amalgamation in 1971. The white zig-zag cap-band changed to yellow and the single yellow stripe on the overalls changed to a double stripe. The sergeant's arm badge became an NCO's badge, worn by corporals as well as sergeants, and was altered, like the cap badge, to incorporate the crossed rifles of the Carabiniers.
