Drummer Frederick Everson 1932

The photos of the Scots Grey kettle drummer in the inter-war years from 1920 to 1938 all seem to be of the same man. Frederick Everson and his medals fit the pictures, and although he accumulated four good-conduct stripes on his left arm he never seemed to acquire a rank stripe on his right arm. A set of four pictures was taken in 1932, showing his uniform from front, back, left and right. The back view is useful to show the size of the white band pouch with its brass Eagle badge just visible. The back badge on his black bearskin can also be seen.
