Drummers 2016

The Corps of Drums of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards wear the Highland version of cavalry no.1 dress which is a blue doublet with shoulder chains, Royal Stewart tartan trews and a blue Kilmarnock bonnet. The waistbelt and drum carriage are white with brass buckles. The two drums are tenor drums, painted with many battle honours from the three regiments that the unit is descended. The cords and tassels that suspend from shoulder to shoulder are made up of red, yellow and blue, the royal colours to which the regiment is entitled.
