Guidon at Edinburgh Castle 1939

This ceremony took place at the outbreak of war in 1939. The Scots Greys were serving at Rehovot in Palestine, but a squadron was left at the depot in Scotland to recruit more men and receive reservists. The Squadron Sergeant-Major carries the guidon into Edinburgh Castle to be laid up for the duration of the war.
