Entraining at Haifa 1938


The Scots Greys arrived in Haifa around 10 Oct 1938 and had to load their horses onto the railway wagons seen on the right of the photo. The men line up, dressed in short sleeve shirts, jodhpurs, puttees and Wolseley sun helmets. They also have leather ammunition bandoliers and carry steel helmets.
