James Charles Maberly


James Maberly, born in 1847, joined the regiment as a cornet by purchase on 25 Sep 1867. He was a lieutenant on 22 June 1870, captain on 24 June 1876, major on 5 July 1882, and lieutenant-colonel on 5 July 1888. He lived at Hawkley Hurst near Southampton with his wife Norah, and died on 4 Jan 1901.
