Patrick Sanderson


Colonel Sanderson wears the regimental mess dress: a scarlet jacket with field officer's wide gold lace and a glimpse of blue collar. The waistcoat is also red, with gold braid down the front. He was born on 29 Aug 1844, and commissioned on 17 Nov 1863. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel commanding the Greys for 4 years from 5 July 1882. he was married to Mary Spens and lived at Glenlaggan. He died on 21 Feb 1902 and was buried at Parton Churchyard.
