Captain W F Collins


William Fellowes Collins was born on 17 Sep 1865. He was commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant on 6 Feb 1889 and was a lieutenant on 15 Oct 1890. He was promoted to captain on 5 July 1896. He reached the rank of Colonel in the regiment and was awarded the DSO. On 23 Nov 1907 he married Lady Evelyn Anne Innes-Ker daughter of the 7th Duke of Roxburghe. They had a son, Arthur and a daughter, Anne, and lived at Cundall Manor, Helperby, Yorkshire, and Knaresborough House, Yorkshire. Colonel Collins died on 15 Feb 1948. He is a captain in this photo taken in 1898.
