2nd Lieutenant William Long was wounded at the action at Dronfield on 16 Feb 1900 during the advance to the relief of Kimberley. He was one of 3 officers and 4 men wounded that day, one of whom, 2nd Lt W McClintock-Bunbury, died the following day. In this photo he wears the service dress for the war in South Africa. |
