2nd Lieutenant William Long


2nd Lieutenant William Long was wounded at the action at Dronfield on 16 Feb 1900 during the advance to the relief of Kimberley. He was one of 3 officers and 4 men wounded that day, one of whom, 2nd Lt W McClintock-Bunbury, died the following day. In this photo he wears the service dress for the war in South Africa.
