Sergeant Edward Wilson


Wilson was a patient in the hospital at Rorke's Drift and was in the 1st Battalion 24th. The photo shows him as a Colour-Sergeant. In 1880 he was one of the Colour party that presented the famous Queen's Colour to Queen Victoria at Osborne House,and she in turn presented them with the wreath of immortelles to place at the top of the Colour.
